May 5, 2018, ORLANDO, FL –
In front of a packed house of over 500 attendees, “Pete Simon – Agent of God” was awarded Best Script from the fourteen top screenplays nominated. When asked about the reason for the script’s success over the other quality 43 scripts selected to the festival, writer Mitch Emoff said “I believe there is a reason it this script won that extends way beyond my writing. Christian audiences are ready for more ‘laugh out loud’ comedy movies!” ICFF is in its sixth year and included some of the top filmmakers in the Christian film industry including Cindy Bond (CEO Mission Pictures), Kevin Sorbo, Kirk Cameron, and Joth Riggs who accepted the award as Emoff was unable to attend due to his daughter’s college graduation. The script goes way beyond the usual Christian comedy style while still being reverent and pro-Christian. As put best by Wayne Zeitner, Crown Entertainment producer with 30 years of industry experience, “You put Mel Brooks, Monty Python, and Rodney Dangerfield into a blender. Zazoo!” Emoff plans to work with the best professionals in the industry using the production package grant that comes with winning Best Script at ICFF.
